This is Song Eui-young (30, Surabaya), a Korean striker who became a naturalized citizen of Singapore in 2021.
Song Eui-young is from Incheon and attended elementary, middle, and high school in Korea and took the elite player course.
After graduating from Jeongwang Middle School, he graduated from Yeouido High School, a prestigious soccer school. Upon graduating from high school in 2012, he joined Singapore's prestigious Home United, which was led by coach Lee Im-saeng at the time, and formed a connection with Singapore.
Song Eui-young, who proved his skills by scoring 11 goals in 12 games in the Singapore second-tier league in his first year of debut, leapt to become a first-team starter that year.
He initially played as a midfielder, but gradually took on more attacking duties.
In 2018, he scored 20 official goals, including 10 in the league, and rose to the ranks of Singapore's 'super stars'.
